Weight Inclusive Approaches

French

ODPH is committed to reducing weight bias and stigma to promote health and wellbeing for all Ontarians. Adopting a weight-inclusive approach is one way to do this. A weight-inclusive approach is an anti-oppressive and social justice-oriented approach that focuses on mitigating and dismantling ideologies, systems and practices that contribute to the oppression of people with larger bodies. We have developed a variety of resources to help public health practitioners, educators and health care providers adopt a weight-inclusive approach.
